What do you do in your current role?
Together with my colleague, I inspect fasteners from every batch we produce here in Åshammar to ensure the fasteners we deliver to our customers meet our strict quality standards. For each fastener we look at, we verify its material quality, that its dimensions are correct and that the batch has the proper documentation. We typically randomly test between 30 and 100 fasteners from each batch, depending on their size and the number of fasteners in the batch.
What do you like about your job?
My job is quite varied, and I get to work with the variety of products we produce here in Åshammar. I also feel that my role is very important as my work ensures quality for our customers.
How have you developed at BUMAX?
I have had various roles at BUMAX – from working with the cleaning line to being a machine operator for thread rolling machines and cold forging machines. My broad experience at the factory is really useful in my quality role as I can spot deviations and understand how they may have come about.
How would you like your role to develop in the future?
There is a lot happening in our industry in terms of technological improvements. I would like to continue to develop personally by following these trends at the factory by working with the latest machines.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Spending time with friends and family, horse riding and being out in the nature.
