What is your role at BUMAX and what does it involve?
I work as a technician and production flow manager for the cold-heading part of our production, right now for 15 people, but is growing. This involves working on a daily basis with technology, projects, investments, product preparation, CAD, materials technology and of course people management.
What do you like about your job?
It is broad to say the least, no two days are alike.
Tell us about your career before BUMAX?
I worked for almost 20 years at Sandvik where I started in production, working as a Machine Operator for continuous wire drawing machines, proofing techniques and flow techniques. I then worked in production planning, purchasing, inventory control and as a Supply Chain engineer.
What would you like to achieve at BUMAX?
I am developing my knowledge to master my role to begin with. I’m just happy to learn new things every day.
What is the best thing about working at BUMAX?
That we are a fairly flat organization, and everyone is part of the team, which I personally prefer to a hierarchical organization. We also have good employee benefits.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy mountain biking and cross-country skiing after several years of elite sports as a bandy player. A lot of my evenings and weekends during the winter are taken up as a youth team coach at SAIK bandy. In the summer, I am a football goalkeeping coach with the team Högbo AIK and enjoy fishing in the wilderness.
