BUMAX® DX 149 is the ultimate choice for demanding applications that require very high strength, good ductility and high corrosion resistance. BUMAX® DX 149 can be an excellent option where coated 12.9 carbon steel bolts are lacking in both strength and/or corrosion resistance.
Characteristics
- Very high strength – tensile strength min 1,400 MPa, Yield strength min 1,260 MPa.
- Elongation – is significantly better than 12.9 carbon steel. Despite its high strength, elongation is comparable with A4-80 (minimum 0.3 x d).
- Excellent corrosion resistance – PRE >34, compared with A4 (316L) that has a PRE of 25.
- Very good fatigue properties – comparable to A4 and better than carbon steel 12.9.
- Lower thermal expansion coefficient – compared with austenitic stainless steels.
- All our products offer full traceability with 3.1 certificates on request.
