Some BUMAX product grades and fastener solutions have resulted from customer R&D collaboration to develop a solution to a specific problem.
Industry bodies
Driving stainless steel fastener innovation also involves R&D collaboration with industry bodies. For decades, BUMAX has been engaged in the development of various international standards. This includes ISO 3506, which defines stainless steel grades for fasteners based on their material composition, corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. We have also been involved in extending fastening standards in specific industries, such as the construction industry.
