Endress+Hauser is a global leader in measurement instrumentation, services and solutions for industrial process engineering. The company provides field instrumentation to measure and monitor flow, level, pressure, temperature and analyze liquids – and that operate reliably and accurately in any situation.
Enabling high-pressure products
Endress+Hauser only uses top-quality components and parts in its products, including high-strength and corrosion-resistant stainless steel screws to ensure their instruments can cope with a range of demanding environments. M12 BUMAX® 88 stainless steel screws have been used in high-pressure versions of Endress+Hauser Deltabar differential pressure transmitter since 2013. The smart transmitter measures differential pressure in gases or liquids in static pressures up to 420 bar.
“BUMAX screws provide our Deltabar generation of pressure devices with the robustness they require to cope with extremely high-pressure environments,” says Dirk Dohse, Product Manager at Endress+Hauser for Level and Pressure.
Meeting EU Pressure Equipment Directive requirements
BUMAX® 88 screws are delivered with a certificate that ensures that they fulfil the requirements according to the European Union’s Pressure Equipment Directive PED 2014/68/EU. Meeting the PED requirements is a prerequisite for all fasteners used in Endress+Hauser pressure devices.
“BUMAX screws with PED approval make it possible to offer high-pressure versions of the Deltabar devices with high-strength and corrosion-resistant screws,” says Klaus Vogt, Sales Manager at BUMAX.
BUMAX® 88 corresponds to the pressure equipment directive (DGRL). BUMAX® 88 screws and nuts in a diameter range from M6 to M36 and a minimum length of 3xd can be used in the pressure vessel area according to the pressure equipment directive PED 2014/68/EU. Their suitability is verified by an acceptance test certificate 3.1, which is available as standard, and is third-party verified by TÜV Nord.
